Full description of the WAVIX-AI smart multimodal radar counter
The WAVIX-AI is the first non-intrusive mixed traffic counter in the Eco-Counter range. Detect, classify, and track a large number of active mobility users simultaneously. Obtain accurate and reliable traffic indicators. Use the WAVIX-AI for permanent or mobile counting projects.
How the WAVIX-AI radar counter works
This counter uses radar technology to accurately measure the volume, mode, speed, and direction of different users. GDPR-compliant, it captures neither images nor personal data. The counter processes the information directly and transmits the data via a simple and secure interface.
This counter measures active and motorized modes and is updated remotely. Its built-in calibration makes it a tool that operates efficiently and is quickly ready to use. This multimodal counting solution is powered either by solar panel or the grid. Installed at a height of 8.2 ft (2.5 m) to 11.5 ft (3.5m) , its compact size allows it to blend discreetly into any landscape.
Comprehensive solution for tracking mobility flows
The WAVIX-AI multimodal radar counter provides reliable metrics on traffic volumes in mixed traffic zones. Obtain mode share metrics for bicycles, pedestrians, and vehicles. Compare peak traffic times and usage patterns.
Non-intrusive radar for all environments
Compact, energy-efficient, lightweight, and easy to deploy, our radar counter is designed to adapt to any environment. I can be powered by a solar panel, giving it extra operating flexibility.
GDPR-compliant counting technology
The radar sensor performs real-time tracking to transmit only counting, speed, and direction data. No images or personal data are captured or transmitted.

Client testimonials
"The counting system will allow us to understand the number of visitors to the new park, as well as seasonal visitation patterns. This data will help us determine the best ways to ...manage and market Presidio Tunnel Tops. "
“The count data is really inspiring. The way the information is presented (in Eco-Visio) – by day of week, user, busiest day – is so well and professionally presented.”
"The data is a real decision-making tool. They help us to plan better development projects, adapted to the observed traffic. They provide a greater understanding of the ...distribution of visitor numbers...to support the services offered in the park."

Presidio Tunnel Tops Park in San Francisco, California was created after the highway leading to the Golden Gate Bridge was replaced by tunnels. From day one, the park’s marketing manager wanted to understand how successful the new landmark was. To support that goal, Eco-Counter solutions were installed to provide long-term insights and guide informed decision-making.

Pedestrians and cyclists along the route are counted and differentiated, and their direction of travel is also recorded. This data helps the trail's coalition understand how the trail is used, plan new developments, and secure funding for expansion.
