The ZELT Bicycles & Scooters is the ideal solution for counting and distinguishing bikes and scooters in urban environments. It's sensors are installed just below the ground, making it semi-invisible and imperceptible to those riding over it. It provides data on what modes your citizens are using, what their riding trends are, and how fast they're going.

Our new range of ZELT ^Evo counters is relying on a new 4G IOT technology (Cat-M1 / NB-IoT).

How the bicycle and scooter counter works

The ZELT Bicycles and Scooters a multi-user counter that combines electromagnetic loops, a sensor that analyzes the signals received, and a data logger to collect and transmit the data.

For this solution to work on active transportation facilities, it needs to be connected to a power supply. It detects the direction of travel, differentiates two user types (bikes and scooters), and collects data in real time, which can then be analyzed in our Eco-Visio software or integrated into a more global traffic management system.

This counting system is compatible with the Eco-DISPLAY Classic +, Eco-DISPLAY Light, and Eco-DISPLAY Compact displays.

Quantify new usages

New modes of travel (micro-mobility) are on the rise. The ZELT allows these new modes to be taken into account in transportation plans. The data can also be made visible through an Eco-DISPLAY Light.

Understand infrastructure usage

The ZELT Bicycle & E-Scooter tracks ridership and distribution by day, week, and month of the year to analyze infrastructure usage trends.

Identify and prevent user conflicts

The two uses often coexist on the same infrastructure. By analyzing traffic volumes and associated speeds, we can identify potential conflicts of use between bikes & scooters and take action.

An occasional visit to the counting site allows you to check that everything is in place, or that any work has not affected the installation.
