Quanteo Strengthens Its International Position in Active Mobility Data

Quanteo, the group to which Eco-Counter belongs, is proud to announce today the signing of an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Rear Window BV, the Belgian company operating under the name Telraam. The transaction strengthens Quanteo’s international position in active mobility data and aligns with the group’s strategy: to support public authorities at all levels—from municipalities to major metropolitan areas—by providing them with the data necessary for the development of active mobility.

Complementary Solutions

Eco-Counter and Telraam address a common strategic question (how people move through public space) through two distinct and complementary methodologies. For more than 25 years, Eco-Counter has developed infrastructure-grade counting technology for cities, transport authorities and natural-area managers worldwide. Telraam has pioneered a citizen-powered sensor network (residents install a sensor at their own window to help count traffic in their street) that extends measurement capacity to a broader range of locations and use cases. Bringing the two together under Quanteo establishes a more comprehensive data platform and a stronger foundation for international growth, while preserving each company's DNA and value proposition.
