The new CITIX AI Evo: an all-in-one Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Vehicle Counter!

Published Sep 30, 2024

Perfect for high-traffic, multimodal areas, the CITIX AI Evo is our latest generation counting solution. Here’s a brief look at this new system’s advanced functionalities.

Multimodal analysis, understanding conflicts of use, and measuring the impact of pedestrianization

The CITIX-AI Evo now counts and classifies up to 8 user types— pedestrians, cyclists, scooters, mopeds, cars, vans, trucks, and buses —while measuring their direction and speed. These capabilities make it easy to evaluate the activity on busy intersections or crossings. It can also analyze abrupt changes in speed to detect near misses and quantify conflicts of use between modes. For example, between pedestrians and cyclists.

The CITIX-AI Evo is particularly well-suited to counting multiple user types over a large area or at complex intersections, going in opposite directions.

This counter provides an understanding of the impact of pedestrianization, whether temporary or permanent. In particular, the CITIX AI Evo can measure all user types at once, whatever the configuration of the road, enabling before-and-after studies to be carried out.

Features

The CITIX AI Evo is capable of covering a large area (up to 30 m/98 ft wide) for five different user types: pedestrians, cyclists, cars, buses, and trucks. The technology is based on a high-precision camera and an artificial intelligence algorithm specifically designed to detect pedestrians and cyclists.

This new product has been fully designed to prioritize privacy and be fully compliant with the GDPR. Image analysis is carried out locally, directly in the camera: only count data is transmitted to the servers. No personal information is transmitted.

As its name suggests, the CITIX AI Evo is also part of our Evo range. It has therefore been designed for future functionality upgrades, with easy remote access for configuration and support.

Several data transmission options are available: via 4G automatically, or directly via Ethernet, with the option of obtaining data in 15-minute intervals. All count data is available on our Eco-Visio online data analysis platform. You can then carry out your own analyses, create dashboards, and make informed decisions. Make the CITIX AI Evo your ally for a more active, livable urban environment!
